The Ingham County Health Department will be holding an emergency preparedness exercise of a pandemic influenza outbreak to test Strategic National Stockpile operations. The two sites involved include Okemos High School, 2800 Jolly Rd., Okemos, as the SNS dispensing site, and the Ingham County Road Commission Garage, 5613 Aurelius Rd., Lansing, as the SNS distribution node. MPF Golf Classic
The MPF Golf Classic at Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing is an 18-hole, four-person scramble in men's, women's and mixed team flights. Individuals may choose their own teams. Each team must submit a completed registration listing the players on their team. Individuals signing up to play as a single will be placed in a foursome and assigned teammates. Beginning May 1, registration costs are $175 per golfer or $700 per foursome. Registration includes greens fees and cart, practice range, two drink tickets for use on the course, continental breakfast, lunch at the turn, awards, prizes and the dessert buffet. Golfers must register no later than June 18. Registration is limited to 144 players.

The Capital Area Pharmacists Association’s Annual Scholarship Golf Outing will be held July 17 at Highland Hills Golf Course in Dewitt. Proceeds from the outing go to support its pharmacy scholarship and community service projects. The two-person scramble format begins at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start. The $60 fee for MPA members and their spouses includes half cart, green fee, lunch, dinner, refreshments on the course and prizes.
